The concept of money in the kingdom of God is one of the most interesting ones. Religion wants everything for itself and under its control. Religion justifies why it needs the money and why a believer should live poor even though being poor, is one primary reason for heart attacks, divorces, suicides, drugs, and most importantly work in the kingdom of the enemy and surrender to his rules.
As we all know, this world is ruled by Satan. The financial system of this world is the core of his kingdom. We are ruled by laws, taxes, world banks, and the Federal Reserve. Our function is limited to what brings us the ability to pay bills, insurance, housing and school for our children; therefore, our paychecks rule our lives. Our time serves to fulfill the responsibilities regarding our paycheck. Our paychecks control us. In other words, we are controlled by the financial system of the enemy.
Jeremiah 18:5 “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.”
Proverbs 10:22 “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”
What happens to our assignment as a born again child of God? We know that when we are born again and when the Holy Ghost starts to dwell in us and show the way, our mission in the world will be revealed to us. In most cases, the born again brother or sister discovers his/her purpose but needs a dot time to start his mission and this date will never come as each month there are bills and mortgage to pay. So when will they start?
The ruler of this world uses financial governance as the main means to keep us from accomplishing our assignment, and that is why we shouldn’t live under the fiscal rules of this world. In this world, we “buy” and “sell” what we have bought. In the Kingdom of God, we “sow” something and we may “reap” another thing. In this world we receive, and then we believe. In the Kingdom of God, we believe and act upon it first before we receive anything.
Before I back up my statements with the scripture, I want to point out a fundamental fact of our new life as a born again believer.
God has created the world and everything in it in six days. Then, when all was perfect, full and looked “good,” he created man in his own image and put everything under his (man’s) possession and command. Therefore God created man in a situation that 1st: Man had all the wealth of the world in his possession and 2nd, God rested after creating man, so man came in God’s rest.
Hebrews 4: 4 “For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.”
Matthew 11:28“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Mark 2: 27 “And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath” (Sabbath also implies time)
Why is this important? Because it shows, God didn’t want man to work and earn his provision. There is no working and paychecks in heaven and man was in the Garden of Eden, meaning; heaven. Man had everything he wanted from fruits to gold and silver. No need existed for man; he didn’t know that he is naked. He didn’t need clothes and he was the king over all other creatures. When man rejected God’s only request and touched the forbidden tree, he was thrown out of the heaven, he understood to be naked, and he needed to work on the land for his living, and that was a curse having put on him and generations after him by God because of his disobedience to the father. This was the story of first Adam.
Exodus 14:14 “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
For generations humans were cursed until one of them; Abraham who God calls him “my best friend, “praised God and was faithful to him. So God blessed him and his family and his generation and promised that through them he will send the savior of the world and will remove the curse.
By coming the Lord Jesus (the second Adam) and sacrificing his own blood (because man had sinned so much that no blood in the world would wash the sin but the blood of his own son), at that point and by accepting the fact that the blood of Jesus was shed to remove the curse, we are back in time to the exact same position that the first Adam was born before touching the forbidden tree. So I guess it is easy to figure out what a wealthy man was Adam who had the entire world and whatever in it in his dominion. Adam was the richest man in the world, and Jesus put as back to that richness.
1 Peter 1:18 “For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;”
1 Peter 1:19 “But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”
Hebrew 4:10 “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.”
Of course, this doesn’t work with the principles of the world including its financial system. This needs a belief system stronger than the mountains. A belief system that removes the mountain and is called “faith.” With fait, we should refuse to live for our paychecks. We will still work, we will still have our salary. I don’t say leave your job today and join the kingdom of heaven. Joining the kingdom and rebelling against the financial system of the enemy happens first in your mind.
Hebrews 4:6 “Seeing, therefore, it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief.”
Moreover, when we believe, we will have the same DNA as Jesus Christ because he gave us his blood. Whatever Jesus could do we can do through the name of Jesus and believing in his blood.
Genesis 18:14 “Is any thing too hard for the LORD?”
Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life”
So adding this principle to the Adam principle, you see how we can have all the wealth in the world without bowing to the financial system of the enemy. When you believe, all your power is printed in your blood, but you need to print it in your heart and mind by faith.
It is so sad when we see traditional preachers only preach about pain, hell, poverty as a virtue or non-stop working. What happens to our assignment? Being poor, in debt and pain, how can anybody serve the gospel? When you don’t decree money and the wealth of the world, the enemy squeezes you through his wealth. Why shouldn’t Christians have the power and money, therefore, a loud voice in upper classes? Do you see the contradiction? A poor Christian with no means and network cannot hold a crusade with millions of people from all around the world to hear his voice. His voice won’t be heard by leaders and politicians. He wouldn’t be able to fight with Satanic laws when he is drowned in his financial problems.
Through Jesus, there is only peace and joy.
Matthew 11:29 “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
Matthew 11:30 “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
We need to break the chains. We need to shift from Satan’s financial tool to the kingdom and see ourselves as a legitimate son to obtain our inheritance. A son doesn’t work for his inheritance, but it belongs to him. We need to work on our faith so hard to believe if we start our assignment and what we trust to be our destiny, no matter how it will seem in the beginning, no matter how bills and shoes for our kids are necessary to pay, but God will release our inheritance. We need to leave what keeps us in bondage and do what is right.
1 Peter 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”
1 Peter 1:4 “To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you”
